Privacy Policy

This platform is operated by Vertyco LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what we store and why.

1. What we store

• Account details. The email address on your account and basic profile information you provide.
• Discord account. When you link Discord, your Discord account id, username, and avatar, so roles can be granted to the right member and your account is recognizable in a merchant's records.
• Payment records. The records a merchant's payment account reports for your purchases: amounts, transaction ids, currency, dates, and the buyer email or name as the payment account provides it. Amounts and transaction ids are stored exactly as reported.
• Merchant connection details. If you are a merchant, the credentials that let the platform read from your connected payment account. These are stored encrypted.
• No card numbers. We never receive or store card numbers or bank credentials. Those stay with the payment account.

2. Why we store it

• To provide the service: matching payments to members, granting and removing access, and showing merchants an accurate record of their sales.
• To provide support when you or a merchant contacts us.
• To keep the service secure and to help prevent fraud and abuse.

3. Cookies and sessions

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure, such as your session and anti-forgery cookies. We do not use them to track you across other sites.

4. How your data is shared

We do not sell your data. We share it only in these ways:

• With the merchant you bought from. A merchant can see the records for purchases made in their own store, so they can serve you and keep an accurate account of their sales. Once a merchant has your information, they handle it under their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
• With service providers that host this platform. Providers such as our hosting and database infrastructure process data on our behalf so the service can run.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the platform.

Discord and the payment providers merchants connect are independent services with their own privacy policies. What you share with them directly is governed by those policies, not this one.

5. Security

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and encrypted storage of merchant payment account credentials. No safeguard removes all risk, so we do not promise that a breach will never occur. We fix the problems we find promptly.

6. Where your data is processed

The platform is operated from the United States and your data is stored and processed there. If you use the platform from elsewhere, you understand your data will be handled in the United States.

7. Children

The platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Retention

We keep account and payment records for as long as your account is active and as long as we need them to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and record-keeping obligations. When they are no longer needed, we remove or anonymize them.

If you are a merchant and you close your account, here is what happens to the data about your buyers:

• Your records stay in place and exportable for 30 days after you close, so you can download them first. Nothing is removed on the day you close.
• After 30 days we erase your buyers' profiles and contact details, so the records that remain no longer identify anyone.
• Payment records are kept in anonymized form, with the buyer's identity removed but the transaction id and amount intact, for as long as record-keeping law requires.
• Nothing we hold affects your own Stripe or PayPal account. Those records stay with the payment provider under its own terms.

Cancelling a paid plan is not the same as closing your account. A merchant who moves back to the free plan keeps every record.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to export it, or to delete it. Some records tied to a merchant's own accounting may be retained where the law requires. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them as required. To make a request, email us at [email protected] from the address on your account.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
