A Donate Bot alternative for Discord donations and roles
Donate Bot's profile in Discord describes it as a bot to collect donations, sell roles and take subscription payments in your server. Its old website promised no extra fees on top of PayPal's own. If you ran supporter roles on it, here's where it stands and how to run the same thing here.
When we checked on 26 October 2026, donatebot.io didn't load. It times out with a Cloudflare error, and the install link on Donate Bot's Discord profile still sends people there. The newest working copy of the site in the Internet Archive is from December 2023, and donatebot.net now opens Upgrade.Chat's home page. We can't tell from outside whether the bot still answers in servers that already have it, so test yours before a supporter pays.
The same setup here
Make a pay-what-you-want item with a minimum amount, add the role you give supporters, and post your store link in your server. The member logs in with Discord, types what they want to give, and pays with PayPal, or a card if you connect Stripe too. The bot adds the role right after. The money lands in your own account, and we take nothing from the sale.
The same store also sells monthly roles, one-time roles and product keys, with coupons, and free trials on the monthly ones. Every payment keeps the transaction ID PayPal or Stripe gave it, and your full history downloads as a CSV whenever you want it. Here's the donation setup step by step.
